REGULARLY SCHEDULED PROGRAMMING
A Message from Broad Caste

Lately we’ve been listening to the word on the street and we’d have to agree. Everything about the old regime sucked. But we’re here today to report some good news. General Vrath, no relation to Darth Vrader, has been fired, dismissed and disgraced, and here at Azurbala Broadcasting Company, we couldn’t be happier.

The war that Vrath unfairly waged against everyday Azurians, especially the working poor, is finally over and thanks to Lady Vo’s leadership, and distinctive couture style, business is picking up again. Delightfully, the calls of the threadbear and battle weary are being replaced with the sounds of ‘GM’ and ‘!Bala’ along the runways and feed trails.

Today, on 8.8, we face a new dawn where the Edokan are tracking to be a top brand, a fashionable faction, a tribe worth joining. Instead of constantly taking bites out of the people, after this culling, it is our sincerest hope that our Edokan will once again be considered by all Azurians as protectors of the peace.

Until this recent move to replace Vrath, there wasn’t very much of that. Peace. No one in that pit of disheveled chaos could be trusted. Protect and Serve? More like, serve you up for dinner. Or worse. Throw you into the pits of The Glades to work sourcing our power supply, mining $Marrow. A job that comes with a possible death sentence as the workplace is toxic, and the prisoner’s uniforms are just all wrong. Trust us when we tell you, you wouldn’t want to be caught dead wearing those.

The Marrow Glades themselves are just not any place anyone really wants to be no matter how much $Marrow you might be able to squirrel away. And once you’re in there, it’s just top hits after top hits. By the time anyone gets out, if they do, most likely their myrossis meter tests are off the charts, so putting citizens in there for no reason at all, well it was downright criminal.

Until recently, if you so much as looked at an Edokan sideways, or chose to cross the street rather than participate in a dance off, you could be taken off the rack, charged, fitted, and kicking rocks before you could even say, “I only shop retail.” And then it would be pitchfork sounds and shifting sands for you incessantly.

The Glades, whether you’re at our nightclub, or their namesake the mines of Azurbala, are always filled with interesting sounds, day or night, but in recent years the mining songs were sorrowful and angry in their phrasing. Dirges and ballads really were the soundtrack of our existence, but if Azurbala itself was a song, we’re here to report that today, she’s certainly changed her tune.

If you’re new to the big A, welcome. Let us fill you in on a few things. At least as much as we’re able. Lots of info has kind of been lost. You see, over the years, the Edokan worked hand in hand with Falon to systematically empty out all of Azurbala’s stockpiles of knowledge, and if you knew something, you’d be taught a lesson. Burrow by burrow, home by home, tunnel by tunnel, they erased it all. The Sprawls became easier to control. Sure. Something to be said for that.

But on his way out, the old General who was overseeing the Edokan made sure to also wipe out all the stories we’ve been broadcasting for decades. All the vids. The team’s scores, the music concerts, the how-to stuff. Everything. Today, history is literally history. Fortunately, in Azurbala it’s not really what you know, anyway. It’s who you know, and what you wear. That’s the only way to get ahead. Or to keep the one you have. Which these days will, hopefully, be easier to do.

General Vrath’s shiny new replacement is no one other than his own son, the beloved General Traeger, who in a recent rousing speech vowed to protect us, to use his influence and obvious fashion sense to universally enforce the law without bribery being a daily part of our existence. No longer will there be special favor given to the wealthy and the heavy bagged.

To that end, since many of us are starting over, we’d be happy to shine a spotlight on some of your stories so you don’t have to shell out extra $Marrow just to be noticed. Just think of our Broadcasting Company as Your Broadcasting Company. An additional home for all our Junglian blogs and newsletters to come to amplify the voices of Azurbala. And if our styles don’t clash, we can even offer subdomains for abcazurbala.eth to more easily help establish your brand, business or backstory.
